Serves 4


My family and I have had many wonderful vacations in the Caribbean and this recipe takes me back there. It can easily be doubled or tripled to serve a crowd.


  • 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 cup light rum
  • 1/2 cup dark rum
  • 1/4 cup grenadine
  • 8 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Ice cubes
  • Pineapple wedges and good-quality maraschino cherries, for garnish


Combine the orange juice, pineapple juice, lime juice, rums, grenadine, and bitters in a serving pitcher. Stir and chill until cold, at least 2 hours. Serve in glasses filled with ice and garnished with pineapple wedges and maraschino cherries.
