Serves 4
Notes
This is just my own version of macedonia, or, as the French say, macedoine. A simple, refreshing summer dessert, it should be prepared 3 hours ahead of time. Blueberries or strawberries can be substituted for the cherries.
Ingredients
- 16 mint leaves
- 3 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup pitted cherries
- 1 cup dry Spumante wine
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon Peachtree Schnapps
- 2 tablespoons sugar
Directions
Reserve 4 of the mint leaves, combine all other ingredients in a wide, deep dish, stir lightly until the sugar dissolves, and refrigerate 3 hours. Serve in stemmed glasses, topped with the reserved mint leaves.
