Sharing soup is a wonderful ritual at family meals, especially during the winter months.
Though the soup itself may be simple, I like to give it the attention it deserves. I have one rule for serving soup: hot soup and warm bowls. If possible, I like to bring the soup in the pot to the table, have the warm bowls stacked up, and ladle out and garnish each serving when everyone is seated. Dress the soup with a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil and some grated Grana.
