Hi, My Nonni was from Bari and we used to get fresh lampascioni every holiday. Now I am lucky if I can find them in a jar. They are a wild grape hyacinth bulbs. Have you ever heard of them? We just boil them pinch them and put oil, vinegar, garlic and parsley on them. Have you ever done a show about Bari?

Hi Lydia! My Noni just passed away. Noni was from Northern Italy. My Mama grew up in Roseland, IL. Every sunday, after church, they would go to the local Italian deli and pick up Cioppa and proscuitto for breakfast. I cannot find any italian bakery that makes this horned, crusty bread to remind my Mama of being a child with her Mama. I also cannot find a recipe for it. Do you have a recipe for Cioppa?
