You can use this method with plum or round tomatoes.
First, bring a pot of water to a boil, then fill a bowl with ice water (make sure that the bowl is big enough to fit all of the tomatoes and the water). With a paring knife, cut the cores out of the tomatoes and cut a small X in the opposite end. Place the tomatoes into the boiling water for just a couple of minutes. You should see the skin begin to loosen. Fish the tomatoes out and place them in the bowl of ice water. Peel the skins off the blanched tomatoes, cutting in half length-wise for plum tomatoes and crosswise for round tomatoes. Gently squeeze out the seeds with your hands, and presto—your tomatoes are peeled.
